About this data
Each row shows the last recorded rate of the day (Dubai time). We record our own data from the international spot price, so the table grows every day. You can also get the latest 30 days as JSON from /wp-json/dhahab/v1/rates.
How to read this table
- Each row is one day in Dubai time, showing the last rate we recorded that day.
- Rates are AED per gram, before making charges and VAT.
- The last column is the international spot price in US dollars per ounce at the same moment.
- Rows marked * are estimated retail rates.
Why gold prices change from day to day
The Dubai rate follows the international gold price, which moves with the US dollar, interest-rate expectations, central bank buying and world events. Because the dirham is pegged to the dollar, there is no currency effect between USD and AED, so daily changes in the Dubai rate mirror the global market.
Using price history
History helps you see whether today’s rate is high or low compared with recent weeks, and check the rate on the day of a past purchase. It does not predict future prices. We publish the data openly so you can check it.
